FiberTuff Garden Doors

Garden Doors

A door that fits your life. Nothing creates a warm welcome like a brightly painted front door. And no wood door holds paint as well as our Fiber Tuff fiberglass doors. Like all Ply Gem fiberglass doors, our Fiber Tuff doors won't dent, warm, rot or rust and insulate up to six times better than wood doors. Choose from a variety of flush and embossed panel styles in 6'8" and 8' sizes. Most styles can be configured with glass.

Features

Base colour is white (Doors require Painting and do not come pre-finished)

  • FiberTuff door panels offer a dent resistant smooth fiberglass skin that provides increased protection and durability and can be painted any colour.
  • Frame cladding features an extruded aluminum design complete with an integral aluminum nailing fin (4  9⁄16˝ and 6   9⁄16˝ jambs feature a vinyl nailing fin). Injection molded corner keys insure frame stays square.
  • Jamb cladding components made from roll form aluminium, 33% thicker than industry norm, to resist site damage. Its innovative design ensures cladding can expand and contract without buckling.
  • Wood brickmould or flat casings available in stain grade, primed and vinyl wrapped. Coloured vinyl 2-part brickmould options are also available.
  • Adjustable sill saddle creates proper seal with the closed door slab and also features weather-stripping to improve thermal efficiency.
  • A fixed door sweep is used rather than a traditional “box” sweep. Featuring GEON vinyl, the sweep is designed to retain its flexibility in temperatures as low as -40°C.
  • Choose from hundreds of styles of standard and decorative doorlites.
  • Standard doorlites available in double glazing or triple glazing with a variety of glass options to maximize energy efficiency.
  • To increase curb appeal add in-glass grilles.
  • Multi-Point Lock hardware available to ensure greater security and improved weather seal. Offered in five styles and ten finishes to match your décor.
  • Tru-Lock is also offered for increased security; the system functions the same as a standard latch and dead-bolt.
  • Adjustable strikers and hinges in matching hardware finishes are also offered to complete your entrance system package.

PVD: Physical Vapor Deposition
PVD is an extremely durable and environmentally-friendly finish. PVD finishes are resistant to fading and discolouration by direct sunlight, UV light or humidity and also withstand the harsh environmental elements found in some coastal areas.

Sentry™ Multi-Point Lock Hardware

“Babysitter” Feature
allows dead bolt to be locked without engaging the multi-point, ensuring a locked door even if someone is unfamiliar with the multi-point locking feature.

Progressive steel hook bolts
Grab hold of frame for extra security and improved weather seal.

Anti-slam feature

Prevents hook bolts from emerging while door is open, eliminating damage to the frame and locking system.

Handset-activated shoot bolts
For the passive side of double doors, the shoot bolts allow for easy opening of both doors.

Tru-Lock™ Hardware

The Tru-Lock™ system is designed to provide increased security while allowing greater flexibility in the selection of trimset hardware by making it easily adaptable to work with most handle brands on the market today.

The system also enables homeowners to change the trimset in the future if their decorative tastes change. Once installed, the system functions the same as a standard latch and dead-bolt.

Available with FiberTuff and FiberStain door slabs only.

Performance

R-Value (centre of glass)

Solar Heat Gain Coefficient

The amount of heat retained by a window; the higher the number, the better the glass

The amount of solar radiation entering a house and registering as heat gain; the lower the number, the less heat gained

Ultraviolet Transmission

Visible Light Transmission

The total ultraviolet rays entering through a window, generally responsible for fading; the lower the number, the better the glass

How much visible light enters through the glass; 100% = all the light gets through, 0% = no light gets through
